A New Standard in
Firearm Storage Security

The WhiteWood Innovations Firearm Locking System is a patented safety device that secures magazine-fed rifles and handguns by locking them to a fixed surface and rendering them inoperable when not in use.

It combines a specially designed Locking Magazine (LM) with a heavy-duty Locking Magazine Base (LMB) and a high-security padlock to block the firearm's chamber and prevent unauthorized removal. Even when not mounted to a surface, the locking mechanism keeps the firearm from being fired and is highly resistant to tampering.

Designed for both residential and commercial environments, the system mounts to wall studs, display racks, or bedside furniture — giving dealers and end users flexible installation without the footprint or expense of a traditional safe.

Protected by U.S. Patent #11,971,232 & #11,906,258 — ready for licensing, co-development, or OEM partnership

Truly Inoperable

When locked, the firearm cannot be loaded, fired, or removed from its mounting point — even if taken from the wall.

Ready Access

The authorized owner can unlock and deploy the firearm in seconds — no combinations to remember, no fumbling in the dark.

Visually Verifiable

The locked status is immediately visible — no guessing whether a firearm is secured. Critical for home, retail, and professional environments.

Modular & Flexible

Mounts to any wall stud, structural framing, safe interior, or bedside furniture. Compatible with rifles and handguns sharing the same magazine pattern.

How the Firearm Locking System Works

Two precision components work together to deliver both security and fast access.

Locking Magazine (LM)

  • Metal, magazine-shaped body that inserts into the firearm's magazine well — exactly like a standard ammunition magazine
  • Houses a centrally-pivoting Pivoting Locking Rod (PLR) of hardened aluminum
  • Far end of the PLR extends into and fills the firearm's barrel and bullet chamber — preventing loading and firing
  • Near end (base end) has a round eye-bolt opening that engages with the Locking Magazine Base
  • Open-ended body allows the rod to pivot freely during insertion and removal

Locking Magazine Base (LMB)

  • Heavy-duty, multi-branched steel plate designed to be bolted to a wall's interior stud, structural framing, or bedside table
  • Receives and locks the base end of the Locking Magazine via a high-security padlock
  • When the LM is seated in the firearm and locked into the LMB, the firearm is fixed in place and inoperable
  • Creates a rigid, highly visible barrier against theft, accidents, and unauthorized access

The Locking Sequence

  1. 1
    Insert the Locking Magazine

Slide the LM into the firearm's magazine well just as you would a standard magazine. The Pivoting Locking Rod pivots forward into the barrel and chamber.

  2. 2
    Engage the Locking Magazine Base

Lower the firearm onto the wall- or surface-mounted LMB. The base end of the PLR drops into the LMB's receiver.

  3. 3
    Lock with Padlock

Thread a high-security padlock through the LM and LMB. The firearm is now fixed in place, chamber blocked, inoperable — and the locked status is immediately visible.

  4. 4
    Instant Release

Remove the padlock, lift the firearm from the base, withdraw the Locking Magazine — the firearm is in your hands and ready in seconds.

A Product Manufacturers
Can Bring to Market Now

The Firearm Locking System fills a real gap in the current market. Existing solutions — gun safes, cable locks, trigger locks — either sacrifice access speed or fail to immobilize the firearm entirely. This system does both simultaneously.

The invention is patent-protected and ready for licensing, co-development, or OEM manufacturing partnership. The inventor is seeking a manufacturer or retail partner to bring this product to market.

Target Applications

  • Home defense storage — bedside or closet mounting for rapid deployment by homeowners
  • Retail & showroom displays — secures display firearms while keeping them visible and accessible for sales staff
  • Gun safe interiors — modular accessory for organizing and securing firearms inside existing safes
  • Law enforcement & security — vehicle-mounted or room-mounted firearm storage for professional environments
  • Child-access prevention — strong physical immobilization for households with children, supporting responsible gun ownership

Competitive Advantages

vs. Gun Safe Faster access — no combination, biometric, or key required to deploy
vs. Cable Lock Firearm is fully immobilized — not just tethered; chamber is physically blocked
vs. Trigger Lock Locks firearm to a fixed point — cannot be removed and operated elsewhere
vs. Mag Well Lock Adds wall/surface mounting — the firearm is secured in a ready position, not just disabled

Partnership Models

  • Licensing agreement (royalty-based)
  • OEM manufacturing & private label
  • Co-development with biometric or electronic integration
  • Outright patent purchase
